Silas Shabelewska was born in Monaco where she grew up. She followed her arts education at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and moved to New York City in 1985 where she studied at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. In New York, Shabelewska has built a strong career as an artist, her work is included in many private collections and she exhibits frequently in the USA. Her work PEACE # 5 was featured in 2008 in O Magazine (Oprah Winfrey).
